South Dakota CAP members traveled to Brainard, Minnesota, April 23 for the combined CAP Minnesota Wing and CAP North Central Region Conference.

South Dakota Wing’s Miller Flight cadets had an exciting time launching rockets this week.

The Pierre Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol adult and cadet members toured the SD National Guard Museum in Pierre.

South Dakota Wing, Civil Air Patrol, was part of the search that found the body of Kay Flittie near Spencer, S.D. in Saturday, April 16.  The Sioux Falls woman had been missing for over a week and her abandoned car had been found abandoned on I-90 near the Spencer exit in Hanson County.

Sixteen members of Civil Air Patrol’s South Dakota Wing gathered last week for a Training Leaders of Cadets, Basic, a required class for adult members who lead the organization’s youth program, known as the cadet program.

A group of Lincoln County Composite Squadron cadets, senior members and family members gathered at Kids Against Hunger earlier this month to bag meals for those in need.  After a brief set of instructions, they put together enough meals to feed 1944 people.  It was a fun and very rewarding experience.
