South Dakota Wing of Civil Air Patrol will conduct a training exercise in Brookings Saturday (June 26) to practice skills used in search and rescue and disaster relief missions. The exercise will feature extensive airborne training, with five CAP aircraft.
Sioux Falls Composite Squadron was the overall winner of the Civil Air Patrol’s South Dakota Wing Cadet Competition. The event pitted youth CAP members, known as cadets, from three South Dakota units in friendly competition. Big Sioux Composite Squadron placed second and Rushmore Composite Squadron was third.
