Units in South Dakota Wing have received three notable charitable gifts.

Lookout Mountain Composite Squadron has received a check for $4,000 from Roughlock Auto in Spearfish. The gift resulted from a program in which the company picks a non-profit organization each month and contributes part of the income for each car sold during the month. Roughlock Auto selected LMCS in September. Owners Kevin and Jody Moore presented the check at a recent squadron meeting (right).

WalmartWalmart has given South Dakota Wing $1,000 for Sioux Falls Composite Squadron. The contribution, requested by Lt. Travis Robinson, who is employed by Sam’s Club, is intended for CAP’s sUAS drone program at SFCS.

TSPTSP in Sioux Falls, an architectural firm, has given SDWG an in-kind gift of four laptop computers. The company uses high-end software that is demanding on computer resources. The computers given to CAP have been replaced for TSP staff use, but will work fine for Office 365 and other software typically used by CAP. Capt. Tyler Gross, SDWG IT officer, will format the laptops for CAP use and distribute them to replace older computers.
