Squadrons Recruit at Top Gun Premier
Big Sioux Composite Squadron and Pierre Composite Squadron conducted successful three-day recruiting events during the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick in Brookings and Pierre.
The CAP displays, approved by theater owner and former CAP member Dick Peterson, featured display boards and banners, members in various uniforms, and examples of the equipment used by CAP.
Cadets, seniors, and parents performed effective recruiting, even though it was the busy Memorial Day weekend.
Dairy Queen sponsored meals for Brookings CAP members.
When South Dakota Wing shared the story on Twitter, the military news website Task and Purpose used the post as part of a later story about the military recruiting during the movie's premier. The CAP tweet is about half-way down in this story:https://taskandpurpose.com/entertainment/navy-is-trying-to-recruit-at-top-gun-maverick/
