Cadet Teams Represent South Dakota in Region Competition
Two South Dakota Wing teams competed August 21 and 22 in CAP's North Central Region Cadet Competition. Seven teams from four states competed, including two from South Dakota's Sioux Falls Composite Squadron and Big Sioux Composite Squadron.
The Sioux Falls team placed third overall. Sioux Falls Composite Squadron also placed second in the indoor practicals, standard drill and written examination individual events. C/Chief Master Sgt. Grace Ingebretsen, of the Sioux Falls squadron received the Fleetfoot award for the fastest female mile run time.
The young team from Big Sioux Composite Squadron did a great job, but did not place in this year's competition.
