SDWG Calls on Members of Congress
A team from South Dakota Wing called on members of the South Dakota congressional delegation, and their staff members, in Washington March 2, for a series of successful meetings. Lt Col Tom Anez, C/Maj Keon Den Hoed, and C/1Lt Devin Griffin joined Col Michael Marek, SDWG/CC. The team met with Senators Rounds and Thune. Representative Johnson was in South Dakota at the time, but the South Dakota wing team encountered favorable responses from staff of all three members of Congress
For the cadets, the meetings are followed by two days of tours in the DC area, with their adult escorts. Col Marek meets with other wing and region commanders for national CAP staff briefings.
