Cadet Color Guard Members from Lincoln County and Sioux Falls Composite Squadrons posted/retired the colors and presented the POW/MIA table at Veteran's Memorial Park on National POW/MIA Day on September 15.
South Dakota Wing cadets performed a formal color guard ceremony at the annual picnic of the Mary Chilton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), recently.
The Mary Chilton DAR Foundation awarded South Dakota Wing, Civil Air Patrol, a charitable grant of $11,556 to replace six sets of aging flags, poles and stands, simulated rifles, protective cases, and white gloves used to formally present and retire the colors. The CAP cadets volunteered to perform for the chapter to say thank-you.
