CAP Offers STEM Kits to Educators

South Dakota Wing garnered lots of interest in free STEM kits for educators during the annual Technology and Innovation in Education (TIE) conference in Sioux Falls.

CAP offers close to 20 STEM kits to educators who join for a one-time membership fee of $35.  

The kits come at no cost to Aerospace Education (AE) members and are designed to enhance current the educational curriculum with student-centered active learning. Educators must report only six "contact hours" with students to be eligible for another STEM kit, almost all of which are reusable and remain with the teacher. Extensive downloadable grade-specific curriculum materials are also available to CAP's AE members

South Dakota Wing Aerospace Education Officer Lt Col Bill Strandell compiled a list of educators who expressed interest in a CAP Aerospace Education membership during the conference and is following up.
