Cadet Williams Receives Prestigious Award
CAP Col. Mary Donley presented Cadet Capt. Abigail Williams CAP’s prestigious Amelia Earhart award during the regular Lincoln County Composite Squadron meeting on April 19.
Cadet Williams earned the award and has been wearing the Cadet Captain’s rank for some time, but the formal presentation of the award certificate was delayed due to scheduling.
Only about 5% of CAP cadets progress far enough in the cadet program to achieve the Earhart Award, named for the famous 20th Century aviator.
