Aircrews Practice Search, Photography, and Flying Skills

South Dakota Wing's East River aircrews participated in an aviation SAREX in Sioux Falls on 5/11/24. The aircrews worked on finding Emergency Locator Transmitters, airborne photography, and other flying skills.

Aircrews took airborne photographs simulating damage assessment at Lake Vermillion and Wall Lake. They also performed searches for emergency locator transmitter beacon searches, such as would be transmitted by a downed aircraft or a personal locator beacon..

Thirteen Senior Members and Cadets from Sioux Falls, Brookings, and Pierre participated in the exercise.
