AFA Supports SDWG Conference
The Dakotah Chapter of the Air Force Association has awarded South Dakota Wing a $500 grant to support the wing conference, scheduled for April 9 in Keystone, SD.
The grant will defray the costs of the conference in general and the cadet program costs for the conference, in particular. The grant was facilitated by Lt. Col. Bill Strandell and Lt. Col Burnett “Chip” Deyerle, who are members of both organizations.
The day-long conference, at the K Bar S Lodge, just outside of Keystone, will bring together members from across the state for a wide range of seminars and workshops about CAP’s operational missions, our youth program, aerospace education, and organizational management. Registration information has been sent to CAP members in South Dakota
“We greatly appreciate this support from the Dakotah Chapter of the Air Force Association,” said Col. Michael Marek, CAP’s South Dakota Wing Commander. “The annual wing conference is a leadership experience for CAP members, and especially for the young people in our cadet program. This grant will make a big difference in providing a positive experience.”
